Guro Gravem Johansen is Professor of Music Education at Ingesund School of Music, Karlstad University. Her research interests cover instrumental practising, diversity and equity in music education, and all-level learning and teaching within jazz and improvised music. She authored the book Children’s guided participation in jazz improvisation (Routledge, 2021). She is Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Nordic Research in Music Education, and led the curriculum revision of the music program in Norwegian upper secondary school (2019-2021).
